Rob Smith – London Marathon

Rob Smith is a parent of 3  gorgeous girls, 2 of whom are still at Upminster Junior school, he will be running the London Marathon on 2nd October for UJS/UIS PTA.

His wife Katie Smith is a lovely TA at the school.

Below are his thoughts on the school:-

Hi All,

On the 2nd October I will be running the London Marathon for Upminster Infant and Junior PTA.

I currently have 2 children at the School – Edie and Elise and Maggie has since left.

The school have been excellent to my children and I decided it was time to give a little back in a way that I can help. By putting one foot infront of the other for a few hours I hope to be able to help the PTA raise money for our children. It may not be much but if we can help would should. It goes along way to making the lives of the teachers and all the staff much easier.

The School is in constant need of funds to help all out children thrive and have the best expereinces at school. Without the PTA lots of the activities that you assume are part of the norm would not happen. Parents and Carers have a big impact on how well the kids do at school. Taking an active role in the PFS is one of the way you can make a difference. The PFA is a small charity this is independent from but works alongside both the Upminster Infant and Junior schools. The objective is to support the education and overall experiences.

Thank you in advance for you sponsorship and for taking the time to read the above.

Best

Rob
