As previously mentioned, the Upminster School PFA have managed to secure a Charity place in the Virgin London Marathon on 3rd October 2021.

This is one of life’s great challenges and a “Bucket List dream” for so many! The atmosphere is second to none and the sense of achievement is priceless.

As a fundraising event, nothing can compete with this Marathon, with thousands of people taking to the streets many in fancy dress, raising money for causes close to their heart.

We would love to have you as part of our running team.

Whether you are a seasoned or first-time runner, the PFA will be with you every step of the way and help you to reach your fundraising target.

As so many people have already expressed an interest in running for the PFA we are holding our own ballot to decide who will be allocated our available place. To enter the ballot we have a registration fee of £25.00 (non-refundable) and there is a minimum fundraising target of £2000.00. The minimum age of the runner must be 18 yrs.

If Covid-19 allows, the winner will be announced at an evening event held at the school. We would love to see family and friends there to support all the runners who have entered. Of course, if this is not possible then a date will be sent out in January for the winner to be announced via Zoom.
