FIREWORKS 2024 Q&A

Where can I buy tickets?

Online tickets are available between now and Friday 1st November at 5pm (adults £8, school aged child £6, pre-schooler free). We are then selling tickets at the Superdrug entrance between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, but these cost slightly more (adults £9, school aged child £7, pre-schooler free). If there are still tickets available these will be available to buy on the night for the same price as Saturday day. Card or cash payments accepted.

I pre-ordered tickets, where are they?

Due to the way that half term falls this year, and to keep costs down and therefore our ticket prices as low as possible, we are using online tickets only (except for those purchased on the day/night). You will need to show your order confirmation on the night.

Where is my order confirmation?

You can show your order confirmation email on your phone (search “tickets@uspfa.co.uk”, “Upminster Schools PFA” or “Your Upminster Schools PFA order has been received” on your email). Printed copies are also accepted. Alternatively, you can log into your USPFA account and show the order on there.

How do I log into my USPFA account?

On your phone, visit www.uspfa.co.uk and select the little person icon (you may need to turn your phone on its side to see this) then enter your email and password. Select orders and then click on view for the appropriate order. This will bring up the details of your order and you can show this at the gates.

What if I can’t find my email or order confirmation on the website?

Don’t worry! We will have a dedicated desk at the entrance and we will be able to confirm your order for you. If you think you may need to do this, please come a little earlier in case of a queue. You will need the full name that the order was placed under.

Who needs a ticket?

Everyone attending needs a ticket. Even pre-schoolers (who are free).

What time do I need to arrive?

Gates open at 4:30pm and close at 6pm. Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time, we are expecting a lot of people!

What else is on offer?

We are really pleased to be able to offer TWO glow stalls this year – both selling the same stock, but we are hoping to ease congestion as they are so popular. We also have refreshments stalls selling hot chocolates, donuts and sweets and for the first year ever – a BAR!  We also have the burger van serving hot food. Please remember, every single penny goes back to the school (all profit from the ticket sales, glow stalls and bar, plus a proportion from the food/refreshments stands) so come early and enjoy the atmosphere with a drink and a snack. Please also use the bins which will be around the site.

What if it’s raining?

Bring an umbrella! Please dress appropriately for the weather, rain will not stop our fantastic fireworks display. The field is likely to be very muddy so boots or wellies are a good idea.

Where do we go?

Entrance is through the Superdrug gate. Please have your emails ready for inspection and follow the path round to the infant playground where the stalls will be. We are expecting a lot of people so once you have your food, drinks and glow, it is a good idea to make your way to the field to secure a good spot. Toilets will be available on the field (to the left of the exit gate), and first aiders are available. If you need help, please speak to anyone wearing a high vis jacket.

How can I pay?

Each stall will have one card machine but will also accept cash. Cash will definitely be the quickest way to pay, but if you’re happy to wait a minute or two during the busy periods we will be able to accept your card/apple pay/google pay payments.

Can I buy tickets on the night?

If we have any tickets left, they will be available for purchase on the night – please speak to someone on the gate.

Are there toilets?

Yes, on the field. The school will be locked and no one will have access to the facilities.

Where can I park?

There is no parking on site. Please walk where possible or use local car parks if necessary.

What can’t I bring?

Please do not bring pets, fireworks (including sparklers) or lasers to the fireworks display. Anyone who brings these things will be asked to leave and no refund given.
